Jim has led a long and successful career emcompassing more than 30 years in the HVAC industry. He joined Air Purchases in 1990 as a fabricator in the company’s sheet metal shop. In 1992, he was named a territory manager on the Air Purchases sales team, where he quickly earned the Salesman of the Year Award, and consistently led the team in sales.
In 2006, he was promoted to Sales Manager and developed an award-winning team of territory managers, including two who earned the prestigious Trane Top Ten Award.
Throughout his career, Jim has focused on helping HVAC contractors succeed in all aspects of the business. He was instrumental in the development of new technology and business operations tools for contractors, including the development of software programs for dealing pricing.
Working closely with ACCA and Massachusetts State Code officials, he co-authored and taught ACCA’s “Code Review for HVAC Contractors,” a class designed to bring contractors up to speed on code requirements for HVAC installations in Massachusetts.
In recent years, his investment in helping contractors drive more leads, close more sales and keep more profit resulted in his launch of the Air Purchases Sales Club, which helped dealers hone their sales skills and processes; and our E-Train platform, which combines both live and web-based classes to make training easier and more affordable for our dealers.
